The Challenge
The business had two failed starts and was in its final attempt to renew the contract. The deal is one of the largest outsourced FM contracts in UK, renewing the contract was a priority. This was a key project for 20% of client’s profitability and revenue is generated from this one contract.
The Solution
Our lead consultant successfully led Programme Capricorn in renewing Banking Facilities Management contract, £180m a year, 46 service lines managing 2200 sites across UK.
He worked closely with the client in developing a joint programme of 5 key workstreams (organisation design, service transfer, commercial and service schedules, negotiation and contract exit), managed a team of 9 senior Mitie members (finance director, commercial director, operations director, sales director, supply chain director, property director, HR director, solutions director, legal director ) to accelerate the complex deal to closure in 6 months.
