Engie SA’s (EPA:ENGI) new organizational structure will consist of four global business units and a newly created entity, called EQUANS. It has Planned to increase its installed capacity in renewables to 50 GW by 2025 and 80 GW by 2030. The four units, reflecting the company’s core businesses are Renewables, Energy Solutions, Networks and Thermal & Supply. EQUANS will have expertise in the areas of electrical, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), cooling, mechanical, digital and IT, and facility management.

Sodexo has been awarded the contract to provide a range of facilities management services at the new Department of Health and Social Care owned and run Rosalind Franklin Laboratory in Royal Leamington Spa.The new laboratory, named after Rosalind Franklin, is part of the NHS Test and Trace laboratory network and will increase the UK’s COVID-19 testing capacity by hundreds of thousands a day as it scales up its operations over the coming months. Fast growing facilities management company, Westgrove Group has secured funding to the tune of £6m from Independent Growth Finance (IGF).
The funds will be used to provide working capital and support the growth of the business.Based in Warrington, Cheshire, Westgrove Group has grown steadily since its formation in 1998, and provides security, cleaning, maintenance, customer service and operational support across some of the UK’s largest regional shopping centres, mixed-use destinations, corporate offices, business parks and airports. Fortive, the Everett, Washington-based maker of a variety of industrial solutions including test and measurement technology,
it will buy privately held ServiceChannel of New York City, which makes cloud software for facilities management, for $1.2 billion in cash.Fortive also said its revenue in the June quarter had risen faster than it had previously forecast. DIY retailer Leyland SDM has joined its parent company Grafton Group Plc in appointing Reconomy for the management of its waste and recycling services. The outsourced resource management and recycling services provider is managing waste across all store branches of Leyland SDM including general waste, dry mixed recycling and baled cardboard. Willmott Dixon has been awarded a £40m contract to build Block J, the latest phase of Gascoigne estate’s regeneration project in Barking. Appointed by Be First, Barking and Dagenham Council’s regeneration company, the contract will involve delivery of 124 new affordable homes, made up of 1, 2 and 3 bed apartments. There will also be a communal courtyard to ensure there is green space for residents, as well as extensive cycle parking spaces. Read full article Here
