Top wins in the public sector during Jan-22

The facilities Management (FM) sector saw robust business activity in the very first month of this year despite the yet again raging pandemic. Jan-2022 saw more than 90 Contracts worth £164 Million being awarded for Soft, Hard and Total Facilities Management Services in the public sector domain. Local Governments and Higher Education were the top categories contributing to more than 70% of the contracts awarded during the month.
 
Among the top deals that were exchanged, Atalian Servest AMK Ltd bagged the largest contract worth £60 Million from University of East Anglia for a five year term for providing Total facilities Management Services including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building fabric, cleaning and associated services for its buildings across the Main Campus and the Quadram Institute located at Norwich Research Park.
 
North East Security Limited won the next big contract during last month from Trees Valley Combined Authority worth £30 Million for providing security services to Tees works site.
 
River Ridge Recycling (Portadown) Ltd earned a contract from Department of Justice (NI) for the provision of Non-Hazardous Waste Management Services at locations throughout Northern Ireland for an estimated contract value of £11.7 Million during the month.
 
Another £11 Million Contract was signed for a two year term by Novus Property Solutions Limited with Sheffield City Council for works comprising improvements and refurbishment to Council owned dwellings or Leaseholder properties (Houses, Flats, Bungalows, etc.) across the City.
 
London Borough of Camden awarded an £8.7 Million Contract to JN & F Ltd. for providing void repairs and refurbishment services in order to bring the vacated property up to the Client’s ‘lettable standards’.

Top Five Tender Alerts in Catering, Parking, Waste Management and Repairs & Maintenance for more than £90 Million

The FM outsourcing business is set for a sharp take-off in the next 45 days as per the data available with Baachu Database. The post pandemic scenario as the current Covid-19 wave ebbs seems full of excitement and high on opportunities for FM Service providers.
 
An analysis of the data available with our database shows Contracts worth more than £6 Billion will be awarded by the buyers of FM Services before the calendar hits 31st March. A look at the sectoral dissection provides an insight on which services will be in demand during this period. A bouquet of integrated services under “Total Facilities Management” will be in high demand as the Contracts worth more than £5.8 Billion will be awarded by the end of March. Next in line will be Hard FM services which will offer more than thirty contracts worth £114 Million in the next 45 days.
 
For the providers of Soft FM services, this time is going to be equally exciting as various services will be highly sought after with Cleaning Services offering more than forty contracts valued in excess of £50 Million, followed closely by Catering services offering Twenty seven contracts worth £49 Million. The security services, waste management and car parking services will together offer around 14 contracts valued at more than £30 Million during the next forty five days.

NHS Supply Chain supports the National Health Service (NHS) in England, and other healthcare organizations in England and Wales, by providing procurement and logistics services. The agency has invited bids for management of clinical and sharps waste at an estimated contract value in excess of £69 Million for a two year period. Clinical and Sharps Waste Management covers the disposal of all sharps and non-sharp medical waste. This includes waste containers such as polypropylene based sharps and non-sharps containers, board-based containers and swab holders as well as sharps management products such as sharps pads, sharps boxes and blade removers.

The Trust also serves people living in North London, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and East Hertfordshire. The Trust is seeking to procure its Car Parking Service across its mixed multi-site, multi stakeholder portfolio. The estimated contract value is £10 Million for an initial period of 5 years beginning 1st Dec-22.
