The last two weeks have seen one of the most lucrative times in the FM Industry in UK. The weeks gone by saw Contracting authorities inviting bids to the tune of more than £12 Billion. The period saw 80 tender opportunities from buyers across market sectors with public sector authorities being at the forefront with some large offerings. Hard FM services like construction works, Repair & Maintenance and Engineering Design stole the limelight with bulk of the contracts being offered in this space. The uptick in business volumes presents a very healthy trend for the FM Suppliers and going by the experience of past few weeks, the industry is bound to perform well in the coming weeks & months.

As per our database at Baachu, the Local government authorities command a Market Size of £21.2 Billion translating to around 20% of the overall FM Market size. As per our analysis, the coming few years will be full of action with lucrative business deals on offer for FM providers to this Market Sector. The next two to four years forecast from contract renewals from our database reveals business deals worth £5.4 Billion on offer from 2022-25. The annual dissection of the data divulges that the remainder of the current year will see bids worth £492 Million on offer from the local government authorities with around 250 Contracts coming up for renewal.
