Baachu Rain Dashboard Summary
This week, Rain Contracts experienced several notable changes, reflecting the dynamic nature of the data. Currently, the Rain Contracts database data robustness improved to 76%
Here is a summary of the changes made during the past week:
New Contract Additions:
- Total New Contracts Added: 143 (with a Total Contract Value of ~£670 Million)
- Public Sector: 124 contracts (~£520 Million TCV)
- Private Sector: 19 contracts (~£150 Million TCV)
Contract Deletions:
- Total Contracts Deleted: 49 (with a Total Contract Value of ~£241million)
- Public Sector: 39 contracts (~£167 Million TCV)
- Private Sector:10 contracts (~£74 Million TCV)
Reasons for Deletions:
- Expired Contracts: 41 contracts (~£115 Million TCV)
- Not relevant to FM: 3 contracts (~£35 Million TCV)
- Duplicates: 5 contracts (~£91 Million TCV)
Following these weekly changes, the Rain Contracts database now includes a total of 10,912 contracts, with a cumulative contract value exceeding ~£131 billion. This encompasses 8,512 Public Sector contracts with a TCV of ~£82 billion and 2,400 Private Sector contracts with a TCV of ~£49 billion.
Please note that the database does not include Framework agreements, PFI’s, Front of Office, Landscaping and Waste Management Contracts, which amount to 533 contracts with a total contract value exceeding ~£23 billion. However, our Baachu research team can readily provide this information upon request.
Contract Awards
Last week, numerous contracts in the facilities management industry were awarded, marking a significant advancement. Both hard and soft FM are covered by these agreements, among many other services. In this report, we’ll cover some of the most significant contracts that were awarded the previous week. Public sector awards:
- DVLA – Driver & Vehicle Licensing Agency has awarded a soft services contract to ESS Compass. The contract is worth £8M and starts on 1st November 2023 for a period of 4 years.
- ISS has won a seven-year contract, beginning February 2024 and valued at around £60 million per annum, to provide integrated facilities services (IFS) to the UK Government’s Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra).
- Serco has secured a new contract with the UK Home Office Immigration Enforcement department to manage the Derwentside Immigration Removal Centre (IRC)
- Crown Security Solutions Ltd has won a £7M worth security services contract from West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The contract is for 5 years and starts on 30th June 2023.
- CleanTEC Services Limited has been appointed to provide cleaning services for Slough and East Berkshire Church of England Multi Academy Trust.
- West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has awarded a car parking services contract to Saba Park Services. The contract is worth £2M
- STM Group (UK) Ltd has been awarded a contract for the provision of Guarding Services at the British Library’s premises in St Pancras, London. The contract is worth £7M and for a duration of 7 years.
- APM Cleaning and Repair Limited has been awarded a £3M worth cleaning services contract from Housing 21. The contract is for 5 years and starts on 30th July 2023.
Private sector awards:
- Pareto has secured a hard services contract with Japanese global beer, spirits, soft drinks and food business group Asahi in the UK.
- Stadium Support Services has won a four-year deal to provide facilities management at Queens Park Rangers Football Club’s stadium and training ground.
- Events By Amadeus has been awarded a three-year contract with Coventry Transport Museum for delivering a food and beverage offering to a wide range of events at the transport museum, including breakfast clubs, drinks receptions, corporate hospitality, and Christmas parties.
- SPIE UK, one of the leading technical service providers in the UK has secured two Merseytravel tunnel approach works contracts to improve motorist safety.
