The FM outsourcing rebound continues unabated as reflected in the data of bids invited in the past one week. The tenders that were out in the last seven days saw a three-fold jump in total contract value over the previous week. There were 48 tender notices published with an estimated total contract value in excess of £450 Million across products, works and services. The local government authorities again were the lead buyers with 15 bid invitations. Soft FM services, primarily Cleaning, Security and Catering were most sought after during the week. High value works projects which came out for bidding largely included construction activities. Quite evident, the FM outsourcing continues to grow at a steady pace as has been visible right through the beginning of this year. Southern Water Services Ltd is responsible for the public wastewater collection and treatment in Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, West Sussex, East Sussex and Kent, and for the public water supply and distribution. The company has invited bids to provide Multi source Framework to deliver individual projects and programmes of work. The framework is anticipated to deliver services across Southern Water’s geographical region including IOW. Works on both Water and Waste Water sites will be required.
