Baachu Rain Dashboard Summary
This week, Rain Contracts experienced several notable changes, reflecting the dynamic nature of the data. Currently, the Rain Contracts database maintains a data robustness of 72%. Our Baachu research team continues to work diligently to address data gaps and further enhance the quality and accuracy of the database in the coming weeks. We were thrilled to witness strong client engagement through multiple demos, highlighting their keen interest in exploring the platform.
Here is a summary of the changes made during the past week:
New Contract Additions:
- Total New Contracts Added: 110 (with a Total Contract Value of ~£900 Million)
- Public Sector: 96 contracts (~£790 Million TCV)
- Private Sector: 14 contracts (~£110 Million TCV)
Contract Deletions:
- Total Contracts Deleted: 219 (with a Total Contract Value of ~£2.69 billion)
- Public Sector: 215 contracts (~£2.65 billion TCV)
- Private Sector: 4 contracts (~£35 Million TCV)
Reasons for Deletions:
- Expired Contracts: 132 contracts (~£1.7 billion TCV)
- Not relevant to FM: 41 contracts (~£229 Million TCV)
- Duplicates: 46 contracts (~£765 Million TCV)
Following these weekly changes, the Rain Contracts database now includes a total of 10,530 contracts, with a cumulative contract value exceeding ~£142 billion. This encompasses 8,205 Public Sector contracts with a TCV of ~£88 billion and 2,325 Private Sector contracts with a TCV of ~£54 billion.
Please note that the database does not include Framework agreements, PFI’s, and Waste Management Contracts, which amount to 533 contracts with a total contract value exceeding ~£23 billion. However, our Baachu research team can readily provide this information upon request.
Contract Awards
The Facilities Management sector saw several contracts issued last week, and it has advanced significantly. These agreements cover a wide range of services, including hard and soft FM. We will highlight some of the most important contract awards from the previous week in this report. Public sector awards:
- London Borough of Merton has appointed MPD FM Ltd for the provision of site related Security Services, including key holding, un-locking / locking up services, static guarding, mobile patrolling and escort duties in London.
- Compass Contract Services (UK) Ltd has been awarded a contract for the provision of catering services by the University of Sussex. The contract starts on 14 August 2023.
- Ousedale School has appointed Aramark Ltd for the provision of all catering services presently offered within the School. The contract worth £5M starts on 31st July 2023.
- BaxterStorey has won a contract to supply catering services for Windsor Forest Colleges Group at 4 or their sites.
- Chubb Fire & Security Ltd has won a contract from Dundee City Council for the repair and maintenance of security equipments.
- Trinity Multi Academy Trust has appointed RCCN Limited for a fully managed cleaning service for Trinity Academy Bradford for a duration of the initial contracting period of 36 months.
Private sector awards:
- G4S Secure Solutions UK (SSUK) has won two five-year contracts from the Government Property Agency (GPA) to provide integrated security and technology services to a significant number of departmental buildings across London and the North.
- Jaguar Building Services has been awarded the M&E contract at a globally renowned tech company in Kings Cross, following a competitive tender process.
- Mace, the global consultancy and construction company, has been appointed under a Pre-Construction Services Agreement (PCSA) by developer CO—RE and asset manager Audley Property on the redevelopment of Lansdowne House in London’s Mayfair.
- The Defence, Marine & Aerospace sector of ESS, part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, has formed part of Landmarc Support Service’s (Landmarc’s) successful bid for the £560m Training Estate Support Contract.
- Spectrum Service Solutions has won a contract for providing cleaning for diversified services company Malcolm Group.
- Levy UK + Ireland has been appointed to provide catering and hospitality services for Burnley Football Club.
