Weekly Update: Unveiling the Latest Data Enhancements in Rain Contracts Dashboard
Our bespoke FM-only contracts database provides real-time updates on FM market contracts in both public and private sectors, facilitating comprehensive contract management and expiration date tracking. We continually innovate to set new industry standards. To ensure platform quality, we selectively onboard five mid-tier providers each quarter. Last week, we had the privilege of engaging with over 11 friends from within the FM industry, who dedicated their time and expertise to thoroughly assess our Rain FM Market Dashboard. Your commitment to sharing your insights and experiences has been instrumental in driving data-driven improvements that have significantly elevated our data accuracy to an impressive 78.2%.
New Contracts Added: 99 contracts, totaling ~£3.1 Billion in contract value.
- Public Sector Contracts: 88 contracts (~£2.5 Billion TCV)
- Private Sector Contracts: 11 contracts (~£600 Million TCV)
Contract Deletions: 205 contracts removed, with a total value of ~£2.1 Billion.
- Public Sector: 194 contracts (~£1.8 Billion TCV)
- Private Sector: 11 contracts (~£300 Million TCV)
Reasons for Deletion:
- Expired Contracts: 43 contracts (~£700 Million TCV)
- Contracts with Data Gaps: 82 contracts (~£300 Million TCV)
- Non-Relevant to FM: 46 contracts (~£600 Million TCV)
- Duplicates: 34 contracts (~£500 Million TCV)
The Rain contracts database now boasts a total of 10,224 agreements, valued at ~£138 Billion. This includes 7,899 Public Sector contracts (~£84 Billion) and 2,325 Private Sector contracts (~£54 Billion).
Note: The database excludes Waste, PFI, Front of Office, Landscaping and Framework contracts, which can be provided upon request. These additional contracts consist of 540 contracts worth ~£23.5 Billion.

Contract Awards
The previous week witnessed the granting multiple contracts within the facilities management sector, representing a notable progress. These agreements encompass a wide range of services, including both hard and soft FM. This report will highlight a selection of the most noteworthy contracts awarded during that week. Public sector awards :
- Mitie has been awarded a two-year contract extension to provide total facilities management services to the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) sites in London and Hanslope Park, Milton Keynes.
- Churchill has won a wide-ranging three-year cleaning deal with the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS), which will see the soft-service provider cleaning operatives deployed across 351 buildings in all 32 of London’s Boroughs.
- Guildford Borough Council has awarded Seville Developments Limited a contract for electrical, fire safety, and general building safety works. The contract is for 3 years.
- Harrison Catering Services Ltd has been awarded a contract for the provision of a school meals service to a multi-site academy of 7 schools operating across 9 sites located in the Croydon area. The contract is worth £3M and starts on 31 August 2023.
- UK Research & Innovation has awarded a contract for Specialist Electrical Repair and Maintenance Services to Drax (UK) Limited. The £2M worth contract is for 5 years and starts on 30 June 2023.
- CleanTEC Services Limited has been awarded a contract to provide cleaning services at the Marches Academy Trust group of schools based in Shropshire.
- The University of Leicester has awarded a building cleaning services contract to MINT Commercial Ltd, Birmingham (UK). The contract is for 2 years, commencing on 1 August 2023 and ending on 31 July 2025.
- JLL has been appointed by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) for the delivery of facilities management and property related services in 12 countries and project services in 22 countries across Europe.
Private sector awards :
- Reconomy has won a contract with global event specialist, GES EMEA, for the recycling of exhibition graphics from across its operations at Birmingham’s NEC and ExCeL London.
- Together Housing Association has awarded an electrical inspection, testing, & remedial repairs contract to Complete Electrical UK Ltd. The contract is for 2 years.
- Hospitality and catering services provider Elior UK has announced the delivery of services for a series of four concerts within a 10-day span at BT Murrayfield stadium.
