Weekly Update: Sneak Preview of the fresh changes in the Rain Data App
Below changes were effected in the App during the past seven-day period:
New Contracts Added: 84 contracts, totaling ~£6.0 Billion in contract value.
- Public Sector Contracts: 73 contracts (~£5.35 Billion TCV)
- Private Sector Contracts: 11 contracts (~£650 Million TCV)
Contract Deletions: 54 contracts removed, with a total value of ~£617 Million.
- Public Sector: 40 contracts (~£112 Million TCV)
- Private Sector: 14 contracts (~£505 Million TCV)
Reasons for Deletion:
- Expired Contracts: 14 contracts (~£505 Million TCV)
- Contracts with Data Gaps: 30 contracts (~£108 Million TCV)
- Non-Relevant to FM: 10 contracts (~£4 Million TCV)
The Rain contracts database now boasts a total of 10,354 agreements, valued at ~£155.3 Billion. This includes 8,074 Public Sector contracts (~£101.8 Billion) and 2,280 Private Sector contracts (~£53.4 Billion).
Note: The database excludes waste, PFI, and framework agreements, which can be provided upon request. These additional contracts consist of 540 agreements worth ~£23.5 Billion.

The most noteworthy contracts signed this week:
Public sector awards:
- Wheatley Housing Group Limited has awarded a contract worth £5M to Minibems Ltdfor Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, drainage and plumbing products and services.
- The Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has awarded a contract to Morson Talent (Morson Human Resources Limited)to provide a fully managed service for the recruitment and ongoing management of suitably qualified DV cleared staff able to carry out the required technical services mechanical and electrical (M&E) qualifications who are deployed overseas. The 3 year contract will start from 30 June 2023.
- ABM Catering serviceshas won a catering contract by The UCL Academy worth £1M for a period of 3 years.
- BAM FMLtd has won a contract worth £21M to provide Facilities Management services for the Tudor Grange Academies Trust.
- University of Manchester has appointed GRAHAM Asset Management Ltd and NOVUS PROPERTY SOLUTIONS LIMITEDto provide Measured Term Reactive Building Maintenance Services with a potential requirement for minor works. The contracts worth £11M each will be awarded for an initial two year period, and starts from 31 July 2023.
- St Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy Trust has awarded a 5 year contract worth £2Mto provide cleaning services to Evergreen Facilities Services Ltd. The contract starts from 31 August 2023 and will end on 30 August 2028.
- Myton School has awarded a cleaning contract to Alliance in Partnership Limited worth£3M for a period of 3 years starting from 31 July 2023.
- Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council has awarded a £1M contract to Home Utility Group for Replacement of approximately 400 gas central heating boilers within the Barnsley Borough.
- Aspens Services Ltd has been awarded a £4M contract to provide catering services for Empowered Learning Academy Trust for a period of 5 years starting from 31 July 2023.
Private sector awards:
- Sodexo’s Corporate Services division has been awarded two three-year contract extensions with Scottish firms Devro and Edrington for food services and will continue to deliver cleaning and hospitality services at Edrington’s manufacturing facility and Head Office in Glasgow.
- G4S Fire and Securityhas won a contract with Briggs & Forrester for fire and security services which include security features such as a Honeywell GENT fire detection system and assisted toilet system, as well as an access control platform to control access to key areas, and a video surveillance platform and video intercom.
- Galliford Tryhas been appointed by St Martin’s Property Investments to remodel and refurbish Adelaide House in central London worth £75 M.
- Yorkshire Building Society (YBS) has awarded Wates FMa five-year deal for the provision of facilities management services across its UK-wide estate. Valued at around £7 million, the contract, which commences in August includes hard FM and compliance services across YBS’ property portfolio.

Tender Alerts for the Week
The last couple of weeks have seen quite a lot of activity on the FM procurement front as number of tender notices have been issued covering Hard, Soft and Integrated services. Catering, Cleaning and Security among the soft services and Mechanical & Electrical and Repair & Maintenance from the Hard FM bucket have especially been in demand during this period. - Home Group is currently seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced Facilities Management Service providers in relation to establishing a Framework to provide various FM contract workstreams for its national portfolio of office premises. The framework will be tendered as 3 separate service lots: Lot 1 Repairs and Maintenance and Compliance Services, Lot 2 Cleaning Services, Lot 3 Waste Collection and Management Services. The contract Valued at £4 Million will run for a 5-year term beginning 1st Oct-23 and end by 29th Sep-28. The bid closing date is 4th Aug-23.
- Warwickshire College Group is a group of further and higher education colleges on six sites across Warwickshire and Worcestershire who are seeking a catering contractor to provide catering services at their sites in Royal Leamington Spa, Rugby, Moreton Morrell, Pershore, Warwick and Evesham. The contract will be awarded for a period of 3 years commencing 1st Feb-24 with an option to extend for a further one plus one years. The estimated contract value is £2 Million and the closing date for bids is 10th Aug-23.
- Wirral Borough Council has invited bids to provide Security and Associated Services at Fort Halstead Kent, Provision of Manned Guarding / Security in Residence Services. The estimated value of the contract is £1 Million and the bids will close on 7th Aug-23.
- Newcastle City Council has invited bids for a framework contract for manned guards, door supervisors, mobile patrol for the Council and Your Homes Newcastle. The Contract will run for a 2-year period with 2 options to extend for 12 months. The estimated contract value is £3 Million and the contract start date is 13th Nov-23. The bids close on 10th Aug-23.
- The Manor Trust is looking for an outsourced Catering Services partner to provide catering services to Norbury High School for Girls and Kensington Primary School, Thornton Heath, Croydon. The contract being tendered is for 3 + 1 + 1 years in duration from 1st January 2024 and will operate on a guaranteed performance contract. The bids will close on 6th Oct-23.
- Live West Homes Limited are looking for bids from SIA Approved or equivalent Providers for the delivery of Concierge and Security Services in its young people accommodation-based services known as a Foyer. The Contract will start on 1st Nov-23 and will last till 29th Sep-27, effectively for a 4-year term. The bids close on 10th Aug-23.
- Chase Bridge Primary School are looking for a single supplier to provide building cleaning services. The start date for this 3-year contract will be 1st Jan-24 and the bids will close by 14th Aug-23.
- The Harrow Schools Consortium is looking for a supplier for the provision of cleaning services within 13 schools in the Harrow area. The contract is worth 5M £. The bid closes on 21st August 2023.
- Wolverhampton Homes are looking to appoint a contractor to provide a roofing repairs and maintenance services on a responsive basis. Works will include roofing repairs and maintenance services for the repairs service, works carried out by Building Solutions & Voids teams. The bid closing date is 4th September 2023.
- Cyngor Gwynedd Council is seeking suitably qualified organisations for the provision of Planned Building Maintenance, Repair and Minor Works. The contract is worth 40M £ and the bid closes on 16th August 2023.
- Crown Commercial Service is seeking to establish a framework contract with suppliers for the provision of office stationery supplies and electronic office supplies. The supplier shall be required to provide the deliverables to all public sector organisations throughout the United Kingdom. The Framework contract will be for a period of 3 years. The bid closes on 11th August 2023.
